How a Programme Runs

Seven steps. Each one is here because skipping it costs you more than doing it.

01

Enquiry and specification

Why this step exists
The specification you choose sets your unit cost, your MOQ and whether the SKU can be listed in your market. Get it wrong here and every later step is rework.
What we do
Recommend substrate, adhesive grade, size and spring-band tension against your target price point and the channel you sell through.
What we need from you
Target market, sales channel, target price point, rough volume.
02

Sample kit or printed prototype

Stock kit ships in 1–3 business days; printed prototype takes 3–5 business days
Why this step exists
You should not commit to 5,000 boxes on the strength of a photograph. Physical samples are the cheapest place to discover you wanted a different adhesive.
What we do
Ship the stock kit — strips, mouth tape, material swatches, packaging samples, document index — or print your own artwork onto strips and packs as a prototype.
What we need from you
Your company, the market, the channel, and the SKUs you want to test.
03

Quotation and terms

Why this step exists
Unit price, MOQ and Incoterm only mean something together. Quoted separately they mislead, and the gap shows up as landed cost you did not budget.
What we do
Quote tiered pricing against your quantity, with the Incoterm that matches how you import — EXW, FOB (Xiamen / Shanghai), CIF or DDP.
What we need from you
Final SKU list, quantities per SKU, destination and preferred Incoterm.
04

Artwork and packaging

Why this step exists
Channels reject packaging more often than they reject products. Carton weight, barcode placement and label text are practical blockers, not legal ones.
What we do
Adapt your artwork to the strip shape and the pack in-house at no charge; Pantone matching, dielines and retail-ready carton specifications.
What we need from you
High-resolution artwork, brand guidelines, barcode or GS1 details.
05

Production and quality control

Mass production runs 7–15 days after sample approval
Why this step exists
The order you receive has to match the sample you approved. That is the whole point of step two, and it is where a contract manufacturer either holds the line or does not.
What we do
Run the order through the same six-step QC process as every other batch, then ship it with a Certificate of Conformance. Every batch carries a lot code that traces back to the operators who ran it.
What we need from you
A signed-off sample, and a decision on how you want to inspect before shipment.
06

Documents for your channel

Why this step exists
You need them three times: at listing review, at customs, and the day a buyer or regulator asks. Missing the third one is what turns a good order into a dead listing.
What we do
Assemble the document package that matches your channel and destination, and point you at the public registrations you can check without asking us.
What we need from you
The market and channel, so the pack is the right one.
07

Shipping, reorder and next product

Why this step exists
Programmes fail on the second order, not the first. If a reorder has to restart development, you lose the shelf space you just won.
What we do
Ship by sea, air or express, duty-paid where that helps, and hold your approved specification so a reorder runs without re-development.
What we need from you
Your forwarder details, or ask us to quote the freight.

Tolerances quoted anywhere on this site are internal in-process monitoring targets, not a regulatory specification. HLK makes no clinical efficacy claims for nasal strips. Certificates and registrations are issued to HLK in our own name; what your channel asks for on top of that depends on the market and is listed per channel in the resource library.

What Buyers Like You Said

Grouped by how they buy, because the complaints differ by role. Every quote links to the full note.

As a European distributor, regulatory compliance is everything for us. HLK's CE MDR and ISO 13485 certifications are genuine and well-documented. Their team speaks fluent English which makes communication seamless.

We import nasal strips in bulk for the Brazilian market. HLK offers competitive pricing without sacrificing quality. The DDP shipping option to São Paulo saves us a lot on logistics. Highly recommended for South American buyers.

HLK has been supplying us with sports performance strips for the APAC region since 2023. The sweat-resistant adhesive formula they developed for tropical climates works exceptionally well. Great R&D support from their team.

Visited the facility in person before placing our first order. The production lines are clean and organized, QC is thorough. We've been working with HLK for 18 months now — consistent quality every batch.

It's a fantastic visit to HLK Tape factory. We inspected the whole production line of mouth tape and nasal strips. Product quality meets EU standards perfectly. Stable lead time and flexible OEM customization make HLK our most reliable Chinese manufacturer for European market. We are glad HLK Tape has obtained the EU Top-Seller Supplier qualification under EU Picks Program.

Turns out, every big-name nasal strip brand is made in the same place - and now we are working directly with them.

These are individual experiences, published with permission and linked to the full note. Documentation and regulatory requirements vary by market, by SKU and by sales channel — the set that applies to your order is confirmed at quotation, not assumed from this page.

Tell Us How You Sell, Not Just What You Want

Market, channel, rough volume and what you are trying to launch. That is enough for us to tell you the route, the MOQ and the documents — before you spend anything.

Programme FAQs

The questions that decide which route you take.

Which route should I take — wholesale, private label or full OEM?
Wholesale means you buy our stock range, with or without your branding, from 500 boxes. Private label means your artwork on a stock specification, also from 500 boxes. Full OEM means your own substrate, shape, adhesive and packaging, which starts at 5,000 boxes because the tooling and artwork have to be amortised. Most new programmes start private label and move to full OEM once the SKU validates.
How long does a first programme take from first email to delivery?
The variable part is you, not us: sampling and artwork approval usually take longer than production. Once a sample is approved, mass production runs 7–15 days. Stock samples ship within 1–3 business days, a printed prototype takes 3–5 business days to produce, and transit depends on the mode you choose.
Do I have to commit to 5,000 boxes?
No. Stock and private label specifications start at 500 boxes. The 5,000-box minimum applies to fully custom packaging — printed boxes and display units — where tooling and artwork set-up costs need volume to spread across. Our MOQ guide walks through what actually drives the number.
Can I sell your stock range and switch to my own brand later?
Yes, and it is the commonest path. Buy the stock range to test demand, then move the same product to your own printed packaging once you know what sells. Your approved specification carries over, so the second step does not restart development.
Who owns the artwork and the tooling?
Your artwork is yours, and the HLK name does not go on your pack. Cutting dies made to your specification are used for your orders. If you want a bespoke shape, ask about tooling at the enquiry stage so it is quoted openly rather than discovered later.
What if my market needs documents I have not heard of yet?
Tell us the country and the channel and we will tell you what that combination has required from buyers before you. The channel list on our resource page covers eight of them. Where a requirement sits outside what we hold, we say so at the enquiry stage rather than after you have paid.
